 Here is just a sample of our art stock... we have a big closet full of art supplies. Who doesn't love getting art work from their preschooler?

The art room. We are very creative and artistic here at Discovery Playschool... we LOVE our arts and crafts.

The Diner... this is fun too, has a fun little jukebox, burgers, fries and ice cream.

We like to bring the kitchen out in to the main room and set it up with a table and chairs and take out our BIG box of toys food and dishes.

We have lots of fun activities to choose from. Lots of hands on materials, games, floor puzzles, manipulatives and lots of fun table toys

We love our outside time here at Discovery Playschool. There is lots of room to run and play. Our backyard includes lots of structures to climb on, play in and play on. There are enough bikes and cars for all to ride. We also have apple, cherry, plum and pear trees.

 Here is the Discovery Playschool merry- go- round it is the favorite playground toy here.

THE famous RV, this is the 2nd most favorite toy on the playground, the children enjoy going on long trips and cooking in the kitchen... oh the imagination of a child is wonderful.

Apple Theme

Today We did Apple stamping!

Fall is in the air. We are in a new preschool year and our theme is APPLES, we have lots of fun planned for our preschoolers. We are getting back on track, so it is time to learn and play.

APPLE ART

Ten Apples Up On Top is a fun book. The children love this story because we take the bean bags out and see how many bean bags they can balance on the top of their heads.

Today we finished off our Apple unit with homemade mini apple pies the children loved them.

Shuksan Middle School Helpers

We participated in the Service Learning Project with Shuksan Middle School. We had four 8th grade students come into the child care and learn what it is like to be a child care provider.
 They read stories, helped with the learning time and played with them.
They had to organize a lesson plan which included... stories, a learning game and a art project, they choose a alphabet  lesson plan.
The children here at Discovery Playschool really enjoyed having them here.
